From 1st October 2002 the Export Promotion Law will take effect. The law defines procedures, incentives, concessions and delimits the role of the GENERAL AUTHORITY FOR EXPORT AND IMPORT CONTROL. This law, says the Egiptian Minister for foreign trade, Youssef Boutros Ghali, intends to offer the country the opportunity to open itself up to new markets, improving the competitiveness of Egyptian Products. The Minister also underlined that this is just the first step towards concrete measures to help exports.
