Starting from the end of May 2002, Jordan and Syria have introduced a free trade relationship by abolishing the tax barriers on agricultural and industrial goods, with the exception of some products, including clothing and shoes, which will however, benefir from a gradual reduction of taxes leading to abolition by 2005.
