Maybe a Joint Venture
Euromarche, a company with a consolidated, twenty-year history in the production of leather soling machinery and plant installation, has worked towards building up its slice of the export market in recent years. The decision has proved to be a winning one. The company has made important inroads in strategic countries and is now a strong competitor, either directly or indirectly, through its agents, in China, Taiwan, Korea, Spain and Poland. The Marche-based company plans an even more ambitious future with a possible joint venture on the horizon. “Everything depends on finding a partner with the right qualifications and the right know-how to operate in a complex and demanding sector like ours, and above all one that has the same high standards as we do,” says Renzo Grottesi, who runs the company with his brother Paolo.
In order to reach its target growth, Euromarche, has been accelerating the investment process in various directions. It has built a new 2,500 square metre, plant complete with offices, and a large show-room containing a workshop and various types of technological solutions, including several CAD/CAM systems. These systems are the result of on-going collaboration with some of the most important mechanical industrial firms currently operating in the sole sector. Another fruitful investment has been made in training new technicians and refresher courses for existing technical staff. Publicity campaigns aimed at raising the company’s international profile have given rise to a greater participation in trade fairs: “Now,” Renzo Grottesi declares, “we are ready to gather the results in foreign markets that have made us such a well-known name here in Italy. n
