Today the solution to support the straps is called FLEXY, the new article by Serafini born to satisfy the need of the manufactures that asked for a product easily applicable, very malleable, reinforcing, which could be pierced and moreover with a memory effect that allows the return to the originary position after modification. The result is a ppl self-adhesive tape that on the base of the width , 5-6 mm., grants the rigidness required. This article is applied inside the straps or small bands that will be used to create the different models of sandals’ uppers giving them a sustained appearance.
Forerunner of this article is the FIXER consisting of a metal thread of different thickness incorporated in a paper or self-adhesive ppl band of 4 mm. width already used in the straps.
The difference with the new article FLEXY lies not in having memory, that is to say, it keeps the given position.
These new products then result to be indispensable in the presentation of the sandal in the shop-window preventing from the usage of unaesthetic supporters.
Further , it is possible to have these products already coupled with a nylon reinforcement avoiding in this way the double manufacture during the assembling of the strap.
Another very important point is the convenience of the price if compaired to the articles since now used for the same purpose. |
